Lumiere shades are uniquely and lovingly handmade by a small, skilled community of artisans in Bali, perfectly encapsulating the essence of our why, with our how. This takes time and meticulous craftsmanship. Creating our shades in Bali one step at a time, with hands not machines, means that no two Lumiere shades are exactly the same. Just like no two members of our Community or our customer base, are the same.

OUR FOUNDER

Wendy is the Founder of Lumiere Shades. With a background rich in international travel and having worked for some of the world’s leading interior brands, Wendy found her true design voice when she moved from Melbourne to Bali with her young family 5 years ago. Inspired by the tropical climate, the abundance of original materials and the soft, warm, welcoming Balinese culture, she began to see life differently.

Pairing back traditional design concepts, Wendy has always been drawn to under-stated simplicity where the practical elements are just as important as the visual. The result – Lumiere Shades was born. It’s about that softer glow, and adding rich elements of texture to your home that makes these one-of-a-kind product.
